Summa Tech, an innovative client onboarding platform for the tax and accountancy profession, is celebrating a major milestone after being double shortlisted at the 2026 Computing Digital Technology Leader Awards.
The fast-growing firm has been named a finalist in two prestigious categories at the awards, Digital Service Company of the Year and Digital Team of the Year, which recognises both the strength of its technology platform and the exceptional performance of its team over the last year.
The shortlisting comes after a period of significant growth and innovation for Summa Tech, as the business has evolved its specialist client onboarding platform into a fully integrated, end-to-end solution.
Loved by its users, Summa Tech now covers onboarding, engagement management and ongoing client due diligence.
Over the past year alone, the platform has supported more than 4,000 client onboardings annually, with adoption accelerating across the UK, including implementation by multiple Top 100 accountancy firms.
Judges also recognised the impending launch of Onboarder, Summa Tech’s first mass‑market, self‑service product designed specifically for smaller practices.
Built on the foundations of its bespoke offering, Onboarder aims to make best‑practice AML, KYC and onboarding more accessible across the profession, helping firms of all sizes meet increasing regulatory expectations while improving efficiency and client experience.
Meanwhile, the Digital Team of the Year shortlisting highlights the team’s ability to deliver innovation at pace while maintaining platform stability.
Over the last year, Summa Tech’s digital team has worked across parallel development streams, enhancing the core platform with these new capabilities, while also building and beta‑testing Onboarder in preparation for its full market launch.
During this time, customer numbers doubled year‑on‑year, underlining the scalability and relevance of the team’s work.
Nathan Keeley, CEO of Summa Tech, said: “To be shortlisted in one category at these national awards is an incredible achievement, but two is outstanding and wouldn’t be possible without the incredible work of our entire team.
“These shortlists recognise not just the technology we’ve built, but the real‑world impact it’s having for accountancy firms navigating increasing regulatory pressure and operational complexity.”
Nathan said that what made their solution stand out was that its developers understood the challenges firms face first‑hand and that practitioner‑led approach has allowed us to innovate quickly, deliver measurable results and now bring this technology to a much wider market.
Winners will be announced later this year at the Computing Digital Technology Leader Awards ceremony on 2 July at the Royal Gardens Hotel in London, which will celebrate excellence and leadership in UK digital and technology innovation.
