LB Group is a leading top 75 chartered accountancy services firm based in the East of England, London and the South East. They are a fast-growing firm of chartered accountants and business advisors, with offices in Ipswich, Colchester, Stratford, Chelmsford, and more recently expanding its operations to Halstead, Sidcup and Harlow.
To meet the firm’s growing needs, Tanya Johnson, Group Business Support Manager at LB Group, was tasked with finding a scalable solution that could streamline operations across all offices and ensure consistency in their client onboarding processes and provide an excellent client experience.

In their pursuit of innovation and efficiency, Monahans embarked on a transformative journey with Summa Tech to address specific operational challenges.
The seeds of the partnership between Monahans and Summa Tech were sown in February 2019 with the use of Summa Tech’s MTD bridging tool. This collaboration deepened in August 2023, focusing on a customised Desk Booking software to enhance office functionality in their Trowbridge office.
Monahans faced significant challenges with desk utilisation and underutilisation of car parking spaces. Simon Tombs, Managing Partner at Monahans, said: “We realised that our office space and parking facilities were not being used to their full potential, which led us to seek a digital solution.”

The onboarding tool has provided a solution for better team communication by allowing employees to see how the process is progressing.

The software has been a massive time saving for both the firm and its clients, helping to boost efficiency.
“Because everything is in one place, it speeds up our processes a lot, it can save me alone up to 2 hours of work per client”, said Paula.

Carpenter Box’s partnership with Summa Tech focuses on a combination of services including a client portal, desk booking and an end to end onboarding solution.
Before working with Summa Tech, the company faced a much longer and complicated onboarding process. Erin Pinhorn, Executive Assistant at Carpenter Box, said: “Previously, we would have to fill out a new client form on our central software, which sometimes meant doubling or even tripling up information and it was never a super quick process as we’d often run into delays.”
Responding to these challenges, Summa Tech developed a bespoke Client onboarding solution. This tool enables all related client data to be uploaded in one piece of software, allowing both employees and clients to access the data in a centralised location to ensure all client information is accurate.
“It’s definitely sped up the process from both our side of things and the partners’ side of things. They can see everything without having to ask anyone for an update by clicking on their onboarding to see any of their clients starting to be onboarded themselves.
